Michelle Broome
Community Action Coordinator

Michelle Broome serves as a Community Action Coordinator.  She has been with the organization since March 2003.  Her primary focus is to initiate safety measures for the neighborhood through facilitating the SCSDC Safety Committee and neighborhood community action groups.  It is her responsibility to encourage and mobilize residents to take action to improve the quality of life for themselves and the community.   Michelle is a member of the Re$tore Cleveland, Economic Restructuring Committee where she focuses on the safety concerns of neighborhood businesses.  She assists in training new community organizers and has presented at Neighborhood Leadership Cleveland Class 22, Famicos Foundation, and the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University.

Prior to coming to SCSDC, Michelle worked for St. Martin de Porres Family Center, Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity as an Americorps VISTA, Hope Christian Academy, and ACLU of Ohio Foundation. 

Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is a graduate of Neighborhood Leadership Cleveland, Class 19.
