Michelle Broome
Community Action Coordinator

Michelle Broome serves as the Community Action Coordinator.  She has served the neighborhood and organization since March 2003.  Her primary focus is to build relationships between people in the neighborhood, initiate communities building efforts for the neighborhood through facilitating various neighborhood community action groups as well as the SCSDC Safety Committee.  It is her responsibility to encourage and mobilize residents to take on leadership roles and act to improve the quality of life for themselves and the community.   Michelle co-chairs the Organizers and Allies Committee of the Cleveland Neighborhood Development Coalition, assists in training new community leaders and community organizers, graduated from Neighborhood Leadership Cleveland Class 19 and serves on the Neighborhood Leadership Institute Alumni Committee, and is an Ambassador with Neighborhood Connections. 

Prior to her service at SCSDC, Michelle worked for St. Martin de Porres Family Center, Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity as an Americorps VISTA, Hope Christian Academy, and ACLU of Ohio Foundation. 

She has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science from Cleveland State University.
