Kendra Smith
Community Involvement Coordinator

Kendra Smith serves as the Community Involvement Coordinator.  Her work at SCSDC including oversight of various block club and issue committees, working with STEPS to a Healthier Cleveland and the Comprehensive Anti Gang Initiative as well as promoting leadership development among St. Clair Superior residents.

She joined St. Clair Superior Development Corporation in August 2007.  Kendra earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Spanish from Ohio University in 2005 and her Master of Science in Urban Studies with a focus on Neighborhood & Community Development, from Cleveland State University in May 2007.  Prior to joining SCSDC, Kendra worked as a Program Coordinator with the YMCA of Greater Cleveland’s Community Youth Services Branch.  In this role she was responsible for implementing and administering a variety of youth programs with emphasis on leadership, educational and social development.

Kendra enjoys working with diverse urban populations and neighborhoods and has worked in community development in the Cleveland area as well as abroad in Pamplona, Spain
