Jamar Doyle
Assistant Director

Jamar Doyle was hired in August of 2007 and currently serves as Assistant Director.  His focus areas include developing housing strategies and managing housing related activities, managing business support services, managing neighborhood planning and real estate development activities, as well as supervision of all Code Enforcement activities within our service area.

Prior to coming to SCSDC, Jamar was selected as a Housing and Urban Development Community Fellow, earning a full scholarship to the Levin College at Cleveland State University to pursue his Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Design and Development (expected graduation date: May 2008).  He has worked as the Main Office Coordinator at Citizens’ Academy in Cleveland, Education Director at Allegheny County’s Promise (a youth service organization) in Pittsburgh, and as a Neighborhood Policy Coordinator in the Mayor’s Office in Pittsburgh.

Jamar graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Urban Studies.  He is also a 2002 graduate of the prestigious Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs, a national leadership development program.
