Jamie Blackson Baker
Executive Director

Jamie Blackson Baker, Executive Director started her work with St. Clair Superior Development Corporation in 2005.  She believes in the vibrancy of the St. Clair Superior neighborhood and is thrilled to be part of its evolution.  Under her leadership the agency has expanded programs in the areas of arts, industrial planning, and at-risk youth programs. 

Jamie began working in community and economic development in 1995 as a Project Manager for Famicos Foundation, a local non-profit organization, while completing her Masters of Urban Planning, Design, and Development studies.  Jamie served as the Executive Director of Housing Consortium of the East Bay in California where she built the agency’s capacity adding 5 new programs, 2 new staff positions and bringing the agency over $5 million in real estate development funds.  While on the west-coast Jamie also worked for Eden Housing, Inc., a large regional non-profit real estate developer where she managed real estate development projects with a combined budget in excess of $20 million. 

Jamie has experience in community organizing and outreach, property acquisition, fundraising, property and asset management, and housing development.  She has worked on procuring and developing specialized housing for a broad clientele including formerly homeless persons, people with disabilities and seniors.
