In collaboration with A Piece of Cleveland, Business Interiors and Environments, the Cleveland Institute of Art, and Neighborhood Connections this competition is soliciting exciting design ideas for common household items. The purpose of this competition is to find exciting and marketable creations made from salvaged building materials. A Piece of Cleveland actively ‘harvests’ these materials from buildings slated for demolition. The main goal of APOC is to make deconstruction of condemned houses in the city of Cleveland a viable alternative to demolition. Why throw out our houses when cool stuff can be made from them?  For more information on this competition, and any other details on deconstruction, contact Chris Kious at St. Clair Superior Development.
