Creates in a wide variety of styles that the subject matter steers him
towards. Brings flexibility along with versatility when he sits down at the
drawing table. In addition to painting in acyrlics frequently works in
scratchboard, both B&W and with color added digitally. The thought
process or concept behind the art is an integral part of his work. Early
influences on his art were stories in mythology and Aesop’s fables. “Visual storytelling” explains the conceptual bent in his work and the frequent use of allegory along with humor.
A BFA graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art has also worked as a
graphic designer and art director. Pursued a career in illustration and
worked as a freelance illustrator for many years. Most reccentaly with
The Plain Dealer. No longer with the paper he is currently devoting time to exploring new creative directions. He also takes on commissioned work in addition to reproducing some work as limited edition Giclee prints.

He is active in The Northern Ohio Illustrators Society having served as vice president for the past six years. In addition to NOIS he is also a member of various community art centers in the area. A resident of Independence for the past twelve years.
