By uniting residential, commercial, arts and culture, industrial business and other stakeholder interests, the St. Clair Superior Development Corporation has positioned itself to maximize its development and community building potential. The SCSDC service area extends from East 30th Street on the Western Boundary to Martin Luther King Boulevard as the Eastern Boundary, South to Superior and Payne Avenues and North to the Lake in Cleveland, Ohio.
A staff of nine highly motivated and talented employees and 18-person board of directors share an unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the community. Current SCSDC Programs – Community Involvement and Organizing, Arts and Culture, Real Estate Development, Sustainability Programs, Housing Services, and Business Development - are performing well and seed the way for the evolution of programs and activities designed to drive economic development. St. Clair Superior Development Corporation’s role in community development began over 30 years ago with the founding of two community-based organizations – the St. Clair Business Association (SCBA) and the St. Clair Superior Coalition (SCSC). In 1999 these two community organizations merged to better service the same constituents with more coordination, united resources and for greater community impact.
